The legislatively impotent Eric Cantor will approve the full funding of Obamacare before this final battle is done. Mark my words.
While Ted Cruz plans to do what he can to defund Obamacare in the Senate, most give him little chance of success, since Mitch McConnell is solidly in favor of funding Obamacare and thwarting Cruz efforts. His own fellow “Republicans” were busy stabbing him in the back Sunday as he appeared on the Sunday Morning Talk Shows:

Fox News host Chris Wallace said on Sunday that top Republicans had sent him opposition research throughout the week on Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
Many top Republicans are upset that Cruz is threatening to filibuster if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid reinserts funding for Obamacare, after the House stripped the money from a recently passed continuing resolution bill, Wallace said.
“This has been one of the strangest weeks I’ve ever had in Washington,” Wallace said. “As soon as we listed Ted Cruz as our featured guest this week, I got unsolicited research and questions, not from Democrats but from top Republicans, to hammer Cruz.”
And Sarah Palin wants to know who done it:
“We ask as an American people collectively that they not wave a white flag and just capitulate and give in to the liberals and to those who want this socialized program of health care coverage in our nation,” Palin says.
But at the end of the day, we all know it was the John McCain, John Boehner the “Impotent Eric” Cantor and their minions who are behind the efforts to scuttle the Cruz missile.
And shortly after the House voted to withhold funding for Obamacare last week, Impotent Eric Cantor sent out emails bragging to his “followers” that he defunded this ruinous legislation.
And of course, Cantor’s followers believe that he truly wants to get rid of Obamacare, but since this bill passed and was signed into law on March 23, 2010 the House has passed meaningless resolution after meaningless resolution to repeal Obamacare all the while funding the bill with each and every Continuing Resolution passed by Cantor.
For 3 and a half years, Cantor has promised to work to rid the land of Obamacare and has yet to come close.
Now, with less than a week before the full implementation and funding of the bill, Cantor is out pretending he is actually in favor of getting rid of Obamacare:
Speaking at a rally where Republican leaders cheered the House’s passage of a government spending bill that would permanently strip funding from the Affordable Care Act, Cantor called out by name each red state Senate Democrat facing reelection: Sens. Mark Begich (Alaska), Mark Pryor (Ark.), Mary Landrieu (La.) and Kay Hagan (N.C.). As the majority leader asked what those Democrats were doing to protect their states from Obamacare, audience members cheered loudly and applauded his remarks.
“Many Senate Republicans have promised to leave no stone unturned in fighting for this bill, and all of us here support that effort,” Cantor said. “We are calling on Senate Democrats to do the same thing.”
“I want to know where Senator Pryor stands on protecting the middle class,” he added. “How about Kay Hagan in North Carolina? Does she understand the consequences that Obamacare is having in her state?”
“What about Mary Landrieu of Louisiana?” Cantor continued. “And finally, what about Mark Begich of Alaska? … Will he vote to keep Obamacare in place?”
Well, Impotent Eric, there may be good news on the horizon. You may get one final chance to do what you have failed to do in 3 and a half years.
We all know Ted Cruz will not succeed in the Senate. Harry Reid will strip out the part of the bill Eric Cantor is crowing about and send the bill back over to the House side for Impotent Eric’s yea or nay vote.
So Cantor will be given a choice. Put his money where his mouth is and do not vote for the gutted Continuing Resolution, which would shut doen the government, or do as he has done 42 times so far and surrender to Obama.
Rogers, whose committee is effectively short-circuited by the three-month stopgap bill, said almost nothing about the Affordable Care Act, but House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) made clear that the main point of the measure is to block the health care law.
“This resolution will also protect the working middle class from the devastating effects of Obamacare,” said Cantor. “Let’s defund this law now, and protect the American people from the economic calamity that we know Obamacare will create.”
The vote marked the 42nd time that the House Republican conference has said yes to gutting Obamacare. While some tweaks have been made to the program, the Senate has ignored nearly everything the House has pushed for.
But when the question is either accepting the “economic calamity” and the “devastating effects of Obamacare” and shutting down the government rather than inflict such harmful law on Americans does anyone think Cantor will side with the American people over (potentially) his job? Over the press blaming Republicans for a government shutdown?
Hell no. The impotence rises and Cantor comes down on the side of big government every time. The devastating effects of Obamacare are really not his concern. He has managed to exempt himself and his staff from this affliction.
But never fear. Impotent Eric has a plan to make sure these battles stop happening. His “Young Guns” Political Action Committee is opening up shop in his home state of Virginia. You remember the Young Guns effective actions in the last election, right?
Indiana Republican Senate primary candidate Richard Mourdock called a recent Young Guns Action Fund-supported mail drop encouraging Democrats to vote in Indiana’s open GOP primary a “strike at conservatism.”
“This race is about who’s in touch with Hoosiers [and] for the heart and soul of the Republican Party,” Mourdock told Breitbart News. He added: “These are the same out-of-touch Washingtonians who want to dictate to the people of Indiana when it comes to who gets elected.”
Politico’s Maggie Haberman broke the original news story that the Cantor-affiliated Young Guns Network had spent over $100,000 on the mail drop in support of Washington insider and likely loser, Sen. Richard Lugar.
The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol called it “meddling” in support of the “elderly RINO, “while pointing how other Republicans, like Indiana’s Rep. Mike Pence, have remained neutral:
A GOP operative who’s backing Mourdock emailed to say, “Weird that a group called the ‘Young Guns’ has endorsed Lugar–when he’s not only been in Washington for 36 years but his opponent is endorsed by the NRA.”David Bossie, president of the conservative 501(c)4 organization Citizens United, said that the Young Guns’support of long-time incumbent Lugar raised important questions.
“Do Young Guns donors know their donations are being used to support an old establishment dinosaur, who has spent decades as part of the liberal establishment?” asked Bossie.
Well, that will stop Conservatives dead in their tracks. Using the same tactics like handing Opposition Research on their own members to the press to destroy Conservatives, Cantor is now bringing that underhanded political garbage home to roost.
Let’s just hope Cantor’s Young Guns project is as impotent as he is.
And I would suggest after the House gets the bill back and approves the funding for Obamacare in the end that we call this devastating law what is actually is: Cantorcare.
